HR Buddy - AI Assistant for Recruitment

An intelligent AI assistant built with LangGraph to help HR professionals and startup founders plan effective hiring processes.

Installation

Clone the repository:

git clone https://github.com/skandvj/hr-hiring-agent.git
cd hr-hiring-agent

Install dependencies:

pip install -r requirements.txt

Set up environment variables:

# Create a .env file with your OpenAI API key
echo "OPENAI_API_KEY=your_api_key_here" > .env

Usage

Start the Streamlit app:

streamlit run app.py

Open your browser at http://localhost:8501
Interact with the HR Agent:
- Describe the roles you need to hire for
- Answer clarifying questions about skills, budget, and timeline
- Review generated job descriptions and hiring plans
- Track analytics on the Analytics tab

Technical Implementation

This project leverages several key technologies:

LangGraph: For building a stateful, multi-step workflow
LangChain: For agent creation and tool integration
OpenAI GPT-4: The underlying language model
Streamlit: For the web interface
Python: Core programming language

Configuration

The agent can be configured by modifying:

agent/prompts.py: Change system prompts and templates
agent/tools.py: Add or modify HR-related tools
app.py: Adjust the UI layout and features
