Requirements
- macOS 12.3 (Monterey) or later
- Apple Silicon Mac
Get TableCapture
Installation
- Download and open
TableCapture.dmg - Drag
TableCapture.appto your Applications folder - Right-click the app → Open (important for first launch)
- Click Open when prompted
- Grant Screen Recording permission in System Settings
First Launch Note: Since this app is not signed with a paid Developer ID certificate, macOS will show a security warning on first launch. This is a one-time setup:
- Click OK to close the popup
- Open System Settings > Privacy & Security
- Scroll down and click Open Anyway
- Confirm your choice if prompted
How It Works
Step 1: Capture
Click the TableCapture icon in your menu bar and draw a rectangle around any table on your screen.
Step 2: Process
TableCapture's OCR engine analyzes the image, detects rows and columns, and extracts the text.
Step 3: Paste
Your formatted data is automatically copied to the clipboard. Paste it into Excel, Google Sheets, Notion, or any text editor.
