Local Development
Makefile (Recommended)
make init
cp sample.env .env # Add your DEEPGRAM_API_KEY
make startOpen http://localhost:8080 in your browser.
Deno & pnpm
git clone --recurse-submodules https://github.com/deepgram-starters/deno-live-transcription.git
cd deno-live-transcription
cd frontend && corepack pnpm install && cd ..
cp sample.env .env # Add your DEEPGRAM_API_KEYStart both servers in separate terminals:
# Terminal 1 - Backend (port 8081)
deno run --allow-net --allow-read --allow-env server.ts
# Terminal 2 - Frontend (port 8080)
cd frontend && corepack pnpm run dev -- --port 8080 --no-openOpen http://localhost:8080 in your browser.
