Networked Sustainable Energy Transitions Exploratorium

Investigating how society needs to be aware of EROEI (energy return on energy invested) dynamics of the different energy sources as it transitions away from fossil fuels. We map the energy trade dynamics of countries throughout their fossil-renewable energy transitions. This is an extension of the Sustainable Energy Transitions model. A project by Dénes Csala at Lancaster University and Sgouris Sgouridis at Masdar Institute of Science and Technology.

This is an interactive global visualization and exploration interface (exploratorium).
