🧩 Zippy App

Zippy is an all-in-one media and AI toolkit for macOS.
It helps you convert videos, extract audio, download files, unpack archives, upscale or clean images - all from one simple interface, with no setup required.

🔹 1. Installation

Drag Zippy.app into your /Applications folder.
If macOS shows a security warning:
- Go to System Settings → Privacy & Security.
- Scroll down and click “Open Anyway.”
Zippy will now launch normally.

🔹 2. Ways to Launch

Double-click Zippy to open it.
Or drag any file or folder onto the Zippy icon - it will process it automatically.
Or Right-click → Open With → Zippy to launch directly with a file.

🔹 3. Main Features

🎬 Media Converter

Convert video and audio files effortlessly:

MP4 – for general use (mobile, TV, web)
MOV – for professional editing software
MP3 – extract only the audio track
PNG – export individual video frames as images
HDR → SDR – tone-map HDR videos to standard color
Best Conversion – highest quality output (slower but clearer)

You can drop multiple files or folders - Zippy will automatically scan and process them all.

🎵 Audio Video Split

Split a video into its separate video and audio tracks.
For example, a movie with English, Hindi, and commentary tracks will create multiple audio files, plus one video file saved separately.

Easily download videos, music, and torrents from the internet.

Video Download
- Save online videos directly.
- Works with popular platforms like YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter (X), and many others.
Audio Download
- Download only the sound - perfect for songs, podcasts, or Reels.
- Supports sites like YouTube, SoundCloud, Instagram Reels, and Facebook Videos.
Torrent Download
- Works with magnet links and .torrent files.
HLS/DASH Grabber
- Converts streaming links (m3u8 / DASH) into playable .mp4 files.

➡️ All downloaded files are automatically saved to your Downloads folder.

🌐 Stream Grabber (Advanced)

Downloads from live or adaptive streams (m3u8, DASH, etc.).
Supports optional Referer or Cookie input for restricted sites.
The result is a ready-to-play .mp4 file.
Temporary working files are automatically cleaned up afterward.

📦 Extract Archives

Extracts a wide range of archive formats -
ZIP, RAR, 7Z, ISO, DMG, TAR, APK, JAR, and many more.

You can extract multiple archives at once.
Extracted files appear in the same folder as the original archive.

🛑 Force Quit All

Sometimes background tasks (like downloads or conversions) keep running even after you close the app.
Force Quit All stops every related process instantly.
You’ll see a notification: “All processes stopped successfully.”

🆕 🖼️ Image Upscale (AI)

Enhance low-resolution images using built-in AI.

Supports JPG, PNG, WEBP formats.
Processed images are saved alongside the originals.
macOS notifications show progress and completion.
Internet is only required the first time AI setup runs.

Remove image backgrounds automatically with AI.

Output: clean transparent PNGs.
Works with single or multiple images.
Runs fully offline once installed.

🔹 4. App Update

The App Update feature keeps Zippy up to date automatically.

Refreshes all internal tools and AI modules.
No manual steps required - just select App Update.
You’ll receive a notification when the update finishes.

🔹 5. Notifications

Zippy displays native macOS notifications after every task:

🔹 6. Process Indicator (Know When It’s Working)

Zippy runs tasks in the background, so it doesn’t show a visible progress bar or percentage while processing.
Here’s how to tell if it’s still running:

When Zippy is working, you’ll see a small dot below its icon in the macOS Dock.
Once that dot disappears, it means all tasks have finished and the app has stopped running.
You’ll also get a notification confirming completion.

💡 Tip: If the dot stays visible for a while, it means Zippy is still processing - especially for large or multiple files.

⚠️ Important Note

👉 If any feature doesn’t work or shows an error, always run “App Update.”
This refreshes all tools and AI components so everything works smoothly again. ✅
🆕 New features and improvements are added regularly through updates.
