Since the wapo repo changed its formatting with a new v2 data source, and stopped updating v1, this project is not able to pull in fresh data. I do not have time currently to make the necessary updates to get it to track the new data format, but welcome any contributions towards getting it fixed.
This project aims to make the Washington Post's police shooting data more easily
accessible as sample data for examples, testing, and documentation as part of
Sample Data for Change.
Usage
Normalized databases are packaged into releases based off the latest raw data
available as of build time.
Documentation for the database is at wapo-data-police-shootings.md.
Formats supported:
- SQL Server 2012+
- SQLite 3.3
