To run this portfolio website on your Windows PC, you need to download the project files from GitHub. These files include all the code and content needed for the site.

Follow these steps carefully to run the site on your computer:

Visit the download page
Open this link in your web browser:

Download the project files
On the GitHub page, look for a green button that saysCode. Click it.
Then clickDownload ZIP. This will save a zipped file containing the entire project to your computer. -
Locate the downloaded ZIP file
By default, the ZIP file goes to your Downloads folder. Open File Explorer and find the file named something likeItz-murali.github.io-main.zip. -
Extract the ZIP file
Right-click on the ZIP file and selectExtract All....
Choose a destination folder you can easily access, like your Desktop or Documents.
ClickExtract. This will create a folder with all the website files. -
Open the portfolio in your browser
Open the folder where you extracted the files.
Find the file namedindex.html.
Double-click this file. It will open in your default web browser.
You should now see the portfolio website appear.
π How to Customize the Website
If you want to change the content, look, or behavior of the site, here are simple ways to start:

HTML files hold the content and structure, like text, images, and links. Edit these with a text editor such as Notepad or more advanced editors like VS Code or Notepad++.

CSS files control how the website looks. You can change colors, fonts, sizes, and layouts here.

You do not need any special tools to view the site, but editing the files requires a basic text editor.

If you donβt see the website after opening index.html, check the following:

Make sure you extracted all files from the ZIP, not just the single HTML file.

Confirm you used a modern browser such as Chrome, Firefox, Edge, or Opera.
